Trane in Wilmington is hiring for an Equipment Sales Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be will be closely interacting with customers, account manager(s), other assigned project managers, technicians and suppliers to ensure timely completion of assigned estimates and project execution. The Equipment Sales Administrator supports the sales process by preparing, reviewing, and coordinating customer quotes, bids, and proposals. This role works closely with sales, finance, operations, and other internal teams to ensure bids are accurate, competitive, compliant, and submitted on time. Estimating support will also be required as availability.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage customer quotes, bids, and proposal documents.
- Review bid requirements and ensure all submission criteria are met.
- Responsible for reviewing Plans & Specifications and developing cost estimates, ensuring accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, etc. of Trane materials, sub-contractors, non-Trane purchased equipment, labor (start-up, service work, etc.), and other construction-related activities to assist Account Managers in bidding projects.
- Develops, evaluates, and discusses possible solutions with Account Manager, Project Manager, Sub-contractor, Supplier, and/or customer.
- Coordinates selection, pricing, and integrates equipment, controls, and services for each project.
- Prepares, finalizes, and reviews preliminary and/or final proposal complete.
- Prepares equipment submittals and validates equipment selection.
- Provide reporting and analysis on bid activity, win/loss trends, and turnaround times.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related study; or one (1) to three (3) years’ of related experience with estimating, project management, engineering, HVAC or construction management; or equivalent combination of education and industry related experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong communication skills, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high-paced environment with attention to detail.
